Director, AMTengineering Ltd.
For several years AMTengineering Ltd. has been successfully using frequency converters produced by ESTEL. In a complex with AMTengineering Ltd equipment, these frequency converters work effectively in such first-rate Russian companies as JCS Kedr (Miass, Russia) and the research organization Rostar Ltd. (Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia). At present this equipment is also being delivered to JSC GAZ (Nizhny Novgorod, Russia). In the near future a production line equipped with ESTEL's frequency converter will also start working at the production association Minsk Tractor Works (MTW; Minsk, Belarus). Being a leading producer of electric power equipment, ESTEL has shown itself to be a reliable supplier. As such, we intend to collaborate closely with ESTEL in the future.

An ETVA-800 smooth start and rotation frequency adjustment device of a high-voltage (6 kV) asynchronous electric motor with a short-circuited rotor was introduced in August 2006 at the MUE of Water and Sewage (Volgodonsk, Russia). This electric motor drives a pump aggregate of a pumping station in the pumping mode parallel to a working centrifugal pump. The construction of this transformer is implemented as direct-flow (without a transformer) based on a high-voltage thyristor current inverting element. The use of this frequency regulated drive produced by ESTEL has given us the opportunity to save on electricity (up to 25-30%), and has made it possible for the electric motor and pump aggregate to work in a lighter-load mode of operation and, consequently, to prolong the use of these mechanisms. There have been no problems with the device, and neither have we had any complaints to make to its producer.
